Around 150 guests raised approximately CHF 7,500 at the charity concert in Zurich to support Viva80 Bulgarienhilfe.
On Thursday, 25 June 2026, we had the privilege of hosting a very special charity evening at the atmospheric Augustinerkirche in Zurich. Around 150 guests accepted our invitation and turned the “For the Beauty of the Earth” charity concert into a powerful expression of solidarity and humanity.
Thanks to the generous support of all attendees, we were able to raise approximately CHF 7,500 in donations. The entire amount will go directly to Viva80 Bulgarian Aid projects and will benefit socially disadvantaged children and young people in Bulgaria.
Music connects people and brings hope
The diverse concert program took the audience on a journey through different musical eras and styles – from Mozart, Bizet, and Mendelssohn to Massenet and Franck, and further to Astor Piazzolla, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and John Rutter.
With great passion and outstanding musical quality, Mihaela Stefanova (musical direction and piano), Yordan Vichev (cello), Elena Zhunke (violin), Krasimir Stefanov (trombone and alphorn), Nevena Rouben (mezzo-soprano), as well as the choirs Amici Cantori, Bachtel Voices, and Men’s Choir Zurich East shaped the evening. Musical direction was led by Davide Galassi (tenor and conductor). A special moment was the final piece “Lueged vo Bärge und Tal”, performed together with the audience, bringing the evening to a heartfelt close.
Every donation creates new opportunities
Between the musical performances, guests learned more about the work of Viva80 Bulgarian Aid. Donations support, among others:
Center for social rehabilitation and integration in Vidin
Art workshop for disadvantaged children and children with autism in Kovatschevitsa
An evening made possible by many dedicated people
Special thanks go to our Honorary President Anita Hammer, whose initiative made this charity concert possible. We also thank all artists, the choirs, Davide Galassi, and Mihaela Stefanova for the musical direction. Our gratitude also goes to all guests, volunteers, and supporters for their generosity and trust.
We were especially honoured by the presence of the Bulgarian Ambassador to Switzerland, Swetlan Stoev, and his wife Emilia Stoeva, as well as the support of the Lions Club Affoltern and Kloten.
Together we can achieve more
This evening showed what becomes possible when music and solidarity come together. Together, we were able to bring hope and provide concrete support.
